Children, Art, and the Environment Project (CAEP)
The goal of the Children, Art and the Environment Project is to build friendship and encourage dialogue about the environment among children and teachers in U.S., China, and the world by using the universal language of art. Several programs are currently in place to encourage this dialogue, including:
Children to Children–Connecting 2 Cultures (C2C-C2C) helps teachers wishing to lead their students to visit China to connect with appropriate schools in Beijing, Shanghai, or Hangzhou.
Magic Moments Fellowships prepare young teachers to lead their own student trips to China by giving them the opportunity to travel with and learn from experienced teachers who have led student trips to China.
Magic Moments via Mural Painting is a joint project with the China National Children’s Center in Beijing in which children from around the world are brought together with Chinese children to paint murals together and experience "magic moments."
Connecting Environmental Concerns Across the Pacific: Al Gore’s Message on Climate Change was brought to the Green School by the Center for Environment Education and Communication (CEEC) of the State Environment Protection Administration (SEPA) in Beijing.
