Committee of 100 “Common Ground” Conferences serve as the premier forum to address key issues impacting U.S.-China relations and the Chinese American community. Inaugurated in 1991, the annual conference features roundtables that convene renowned thought leaders in academia, the arts, business, government, science, and technology. First Lady, Michelle Obama, made a historic trip to China March 20th to 26th, accompanied by her mother and daughters. The focus of the trip was on the importance of education and cultural exchange. See the information on how to request an invitation to join the Smithsonian APAC: A Day in the Life Flickr group. Then take photos and videos of Asian Pacific America on May 10, 2014. Upload them to the Flickr Group no later than May 14, 2014. A group of curators will select and assemble the exhibit, which will be available for viewing online at apasi.edu starting May 26, 2014.
