The LUCKYRICE food festival  — which tours 5 different cities — Manhattan, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco — showcases Asian culture through cuisine and cocktail.  At each stop, the chefs and bartenders change to focus on local restaurants.

On the heels of last year’s amazing SF event, the LUCKYRICE San Francisco Feast returns again this year to celebrate some of the best Asian food this side of the Pacific. Showcasing innovative and traditional bites from the Bay’s top toques, expect both street food and fancy food, from Taiwan and China, to Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Korea.

This year’s event is hosted by local star chef Chris Cosentino, who will be showcasing a food and cocktail pairing of his own: a grilled squid, watermelon and tomato salad to go with a cucumber and Thai basil gin and tonic.  In addition, there will be plenty of libations paired with creative Bombay Sapphire® East cocktails from the city’s hottest mixologists – plus beer, wine and ginger ale, of course. This year’s event will be at the swanky Bently Reserve.

Ticket prices include all the food and drink you can put down. 16 cocktails and at least 18 different bites will taste even better when its for a good cause like CAAM!  They sell out fast so don’t miss your chance to Eat, Drink and Get LUCKY.  Find the full line up and menus for both food and drink here.

Nguyen Ba Hung
, Consul General of Vietnam in San Francisco

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam, with a population of almost 90 million people, is on a course of economic growth as it moves toward a market-oriented economy. Its GDP is forecasted to grow 5.5 percent this year. Overseas makers of apparel, footwear and electronics are attracted by low labor costs and have set up factories there. Foreign direct investment in 2013 is said to have increased 36 percent over 2012. How are relations between Vietnam and the United States? How will its conflict with China over territory in the South China Sea affect Vietnam? Hear the views of the consul general of Vietnam in San Francisco and bring your questions. Buy Tickets here.
